Cosimo and Nicole

[Cosimo e Nicole]

Country: Italy Year: 2012 Duration: 106 mins Language: Italian with English subtitles Genre Drama Director: Francesco Amato Cast: Riccardo Scamarcio, Clara Ponsot, Paolo Sassanelli

During the dramatic Genoa G8 riots, Cosimo (Riccardo Scarmarcio, The Red and the Blue IFF13) meets beautiful and impulsive Frenchwoman Nicole (Clara Ponsot). Their attraction is immediate, and both are swept off their feet by an uncontrollable passion.

After much listless wandering, they return to Genoa where they begin work organising rock shows for a concert-promoter friend, Paolo (Paolo Sassanelli). All seems to be going well, with the two building an ever-strengthening relationship with Paolo, and Cosimo displaying a natural talent and commitment to the business. However, a sudden disastrous on-site accident turns the lives of all three upside down. Each of them are forced to question their own morals, devotion, and loyalty to one another.

Whilst exploring the physical and emotional heights and depths of the love story at its core, Cosimo and Nicole combines drama and thriller through themes of immigration, politics and rock ‘n’ roll. An intense, wild ride not to be missed.
