Roman Holiday meets Before Sunrise in Francesca Comencini’s charming film about two young people meeting on a significant day in their lives – the first day of a new job.

Gina (Giulia Valentini) is a 19-year-old TV addict who dreams of being an actress and is prepared to do anything to succeed, even if it means compromising her dignity. Marco (Filippo Schiccitano, Take it Easy! IFF12) is a young, idealistic chauffeur whose first job is to drive Gina to meet a senator – a meeting that promises to secure her career.

Gina’s meeting with the senator is delayed, forcing the two young people to spend a day together in Rome. Early clashes give way to tender moments as the young pair explores the seedy and spectacular sites of Rome, and share stories and dreams for the future. Will Gina take her chance on the senator’s infamous casting couch? Or has something more important happened on this special day?

The two leads bring incredible charm and chemistry to the screen, and audiences will fall for the wonders of young love and the beauty of Rome in this romantic interlude based on actor/writer Claudio Bigagli’s novella The Sky with a Finger.
